ICA-TriNova began in 2000 with a team of chemical engineers who believed in using science to make a positive impact on the world in which we live. Over the years, our abilities have grown as have our technology and product solutions. Today our products are used to meet the needs of health care providers, improve food security/sustainability and general quality of life for people all over the world. The company operates outside of Newnan, GA. Our company mission aligns with several key dimensions of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Zero Hunger

Agriculture is the single largest employer in the world, providing livelihoods for 40% of the global population. It is the largest source of income for poor rural households. ICA-TriNova LLC Fruitgard® products were developed to eliminate food waste at all scales. Importantly FruitGard® products are particularly well suited to the needs of farmers in developing countries with limited infrastructure and modern distribution capabilities. FruitGard® has the potential to increase productivity, enhance food security and increase the availability of nutritional foodstuffs critical to improving economies and ending malnutrition and undernutrition of children.

Good Health and Well Being

StayFresh™ products offer solutions for medical, first responder, and EMT services that increase the health and well-being of all people. These products can be leveraged in both developed and underdeveloped regions bringing unique air, soft and hard surface cleaning – disinfection – sterilization interventions without complicated equipment or hard to manage product safety footprints. FruitGard® products can be used to reduce aflatoxins in grains and other staples, contaminants that are known to negatively impact hungry children in developing nations.

Clean Water and Sanitation

Water disinfection, potable, waste and industrial water, worldwide is a consistent problem and Z-Series® products help position a strong oxidizer/disinfectant to solve unmet needs. Six out of 10 people lack safely managed sanitation services, and 3 out of 10 lack safely managed water services. Safe drinking water and hygienic wastewater protect people from disease and enable societies to be more productive economically

Climate Action

In 2018, the International Panel of Climate Change (IPCC), the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change, published a special report “Global Warming of 1.5°C”. The report mentioned that this would require global net human-caused emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) to fall by about 45% from 2010 levels by 2030, reaching “net zero” around 2050, through “rapid and far-reaching” transitions in land, energy, industry, buildings, transport, and cities. StayFresh™ and FruitGard® products address parts of the equation by aiding in HVAC coil maintenance increasing energy efficiency, increasing the shelf life of perishable foods that would turn into greenhouse gasses upon decay. FruitGard® products also increase the viability of agriculture-based economies in developing countries, it is well known that productive agriculture equates to significant carbon sinks.
